Before we can speak about Kha'zix we must first talk about his home, The Void. It is a place of eternal nothingness, pitch black darkness as far as the eye can see. It came into being at the same time the universe was born as somewhat of an antithesis to its existence. Most mortals who come in contact with the void go insane upon witnessing the fear, the hunger, the isolation, the eternity of the void. Few mortals ever encounter the void as it is a place unreachable usually and fewer still survive the encounter. Due to a large event in the past a portion of Runeterra was ripped open allowing the void to spill forward into the physical realm along with all manners of horros and creatures that dwell there.
Kha'zix is one such creature. Like all denizens of the void Kha'zix began as a creature with very limited intelligence, unaware of its own sentience. A trait it also shares with all creatures of and even the void itself is an insatiable hunger for something. For Kha'zix this takes the form of evolution. This creature will stop at nothing to evolve and become the perfect hunter. With each kill Kha'zix consumes its prey gaining new abilities as it does so. One such ability was intelligence, now Kha'zix is able to plan its hunts, taunt its foes, and though limited speak to some degree.
In the game, Kha'zix's primary role is jungle. Leaning heavily into its hunter biography gameplay for Kha'zix stalks the jungle consuming its inhabitants to power himself up and adapt to the changing state of the game. This takes greatest form in his final ability which allows you to evolve a chosen ability once up to 3 times. For more damage you can evolve his claws making them longer and able to strike more often. You can choose his spikes to launch them at foes so they can't escape from you. On his back he may sprout wings allowing you to leap in and out of danger as you see fit. Finally you may choose active camouflage to really live out the assassin lifestyle and hunt your prey or make a hasty escape if need be. For the most daring of hunters you can search for Kha'zix's rival on the rift, what it believes will be its largest evolution yet to push yourself to even greater heights.
