Ixaocan is a system of arcologies that stretches across the jungles of Ixtal. The Cardinal Arcology, sometimes also named after the system it anchors, stands as its heart. The system contains the only inhabited/non-ruined cities within the jungles of Ixtal. The arcologies are connected by intersecting lines of power, and each represents a specific form or discipline of elemental magic. The largest are home to tens of thousands of Ixtali practitioners. However, they are neither wholly habitats nor colleges of magic, but something in between. Over the course of history Ixtal became an isolated nation as they sought to distance themselves from the rest of Runeterra to avoid the many calamties and disasters being brought on by its inhabitants such as the calamity that ripped a tear in the world where the void could now spill into the physical realm.
Qiyana is a proud and arrogant woman, with good reason. Born into the Ixaocan royal family Qiyana boasts some of the greatest magical talent ever seen in the history of the magical nation. Most mages are only able to learn and study one form of magic, however Qiyana at a young age mastered three seperate forms of elemental magic, water, earth, and nature. Declaring herself "Empress of the Elements" Qiyana believed she was destined for the throne, there was one major problem however. Qiyana was born as the ninth sister meaning her hopes of becoming queen were slim simply due to the line of succession, she would not suffer this. Her magical aptitude far outshines that of her sisters' and she and everyone else in the nation is aware of it. Unhappy with just her nation being aware of it she believes the entire world should be aware of her abilities which directly clashes with the isolationist policy Ixaocan adopts. To that end Qiyana now schemes to take the throne by any means necessary be it through the destruction of her elder siblings or allowing other nations to know the existance of Ixaocan to garner support from the people.
In the game qiyana's role is that of the mid laner. An assassin through and through she uses her elemental magic to decimate her foes before they have a chance to strike back. Her magic is channeled through her traditional ring-shaped blade known as an ohmlatl. With it she can imbue it with water to toss and freeze instantly making sure movement is but a pipe dream for her victims. She also has access to magma which has the sole purpose of exploding and doing as much damage as possible as fast as possible. The final magic she has access to is nature which she uses to grow bushes to hide in to ambush those who would oppose her. In heated moments she is able to unleash a violent blast of all three magics dealing massive damage and locking in place any unlucky enough to feel the wrath of the would be empress.
